This policy explains what information this website collects and how it's used. It covers aliceismailtherapy.com only. Information you share as a client in therapy is handled separately, under HIPAA and New York law.
What this website collects
This website does not have contact forms or accounts, and it does not use cookies for tracking or advertising.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits in aggregate, such as how many people viewed a page and which website referred them. It does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors.
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) may briefly keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the site secure and running.
Booking a consultation
When you book a free consultation, the scheduler is provided by Calendly. Calendly collects the details you enter, such as your name and email address, so that the appointment can be scheduled and confirmed. Calendly's own privacy policy applies to that information.
Please don't include health information when booking. Your name and contact details are all that's needed.
If you email connect@aliceismailtherapy.com, your message and email address are received and stored in our email system to respond to you. Email is not a fully secure way to communicate, so please don't send sensitive health information by email. We can discuss those details in session.
Links to other websites
This site links to other services, including Headway, Alma, Psychology Today, and Calendly. When you visit those sites, their privacy policies apply, not this one.
If you arrived here from an online ad, the ad platform may know that you clicked the ad. This website does not install advertising tracking tags or share your visit with ad platforms.
How information is used and shared
Information collected through this website is used only to run the site, respond to you, and schedule appointments. It is never sold or used for advertising.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13. Consultations for teens should be booked by a parent or guardian.
Emergencies
This website, email, and the scheduler are not monitored for emergencies. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 or go to the nearest ER.
