Therapy for Muslim clients

A therapist who understands where you're coming from.

Online therapy for Muslim adults and teens anywhere in New York State, with room for your faith, your family, and your culture.

You shouldn't have to explain everything first

Many Muslim clients tell me they've put off therapy because they worried they'd spend the first sessions explaining their faith, their family, or why some things matter so much. Or that a therapist might quietly see those things as the problem.

In our work, your values are respected, not questioned. If faith is an important part of your life, it's welcome in our conversations. If you'd rather focus elsewhere, that's okay too. You decide what we talk about.

What we can work on together

Common questions

Will my religious beliefs be respected?

Yes. My role is to help you with what you're facing, not to question your values. Faith can be part of our work as much or as little as you'd like.

Is therapy confidential? What if my family finds out?

What you share in therapy is confidential, with a few legal exceptions related to safety that I'll explain at our first session. Sessions are online, so you can join from anywhere private.

Do I need a diagnosis or a crisis to start therapy?

No. Many people come to therapy because something feels heavy or stuck. You don't need a label to reach out.

Take the first step, privately and at your own pace.
